Halting Overdevelopment
Growth should serve Webster's residents and neighborhoods, not overwhelm the town we call home.
Because 40 years of experience matters.
Priorities
Sean Hanna is running to protect Webster's character, respect taxpayers, and bring calm, experienced leadership to town government.
Growth should serve Webster's residents and neighborhoods, not overwhelm the town we call home.
Open spaces, parks, and farmland help define Webster's quality of life and deserve strong local protection.
Families need a town government that watches every dollar and keeps affordability at the center of every decision.
Sean will stand for safe neighborhoods, strong public spaces, and civic pride in the community Webster built together.
Experience
Sean Hanna has led in business, environmental protection, elected office, law enforcement, and private practice. Webster deserves a supervisor who already knows how to listen, lead, and get results.
He brings practical experience from the courtroom, the boardroom, state and county government, and the Webster community itself.
Autobiography
I like to joke that I haven't gone very far in life. I still live in my childhood home, attend my childhood church, and I was even elected to the same New York State Assembly seat my father held when I was a child. My shoes are stuck in Webster.
I graduated from Boston College and Wake Forest University School of Law, and throughout my career I have had the opportunity to serve in both the public and private sectors. I worked as a felony trial prosecutor, served as a Monroe County Legislator, and represented our community in the New York State Assembly. I also represented New York State on the international Great Lakes Commission and served as Director of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
In the private sector, I founded and operated health care, manufacturing, and real estate companies that created hundreds of jobs in Monroe County. I was also a partner at Rochester's largest downtown law firm.
Most importantly, Webster has always been home. My wife, Marlene, and I have been married for 24 years, and we are blessed with two children and two grandchildren, all of whom live in Monroe County. I have also spent many years coaching Rochester Youth Hockey and CYO basketball at St. Rita's- experiences that have meant a great deal to me and kept me closely connected to Webster.
Our Hometown Guy
Sean Hanna's commitment to Webster is personal. He was raised here, learned here, played here, coached here, worships here, and built businesses here.
